This lovely Gibson L7 is well set up and has a fantastic tone, this L7 looks good! Arched spruce top and Maple back and sides. The neck has a Rosewood fingerboard which is in excellent condition. With slotted block inlays this is a classy looking guitar. Rosewood floating bridge which is absolutely perfect, so probably none original. Chrome Trapeze tailpiece old Gibson logo and a bound headstock. The original Kalamazoo label visible through the f-hole is present and correct.
Cosmetic Condition: The body has some dings and scratches here and there, but nothing severe and the binding is all good with no visible cracks or problems. The back of the body is nicely quilted but it has suffered a crack some years ago which although repaired, is still visible but totally stable this issue is reflected in the priced. The back has some very light surface scratches from buckle rash and use. The neck has some finish wear and is still fairly smooth to play. The headstock is in great shape. The pick guard has a small wear hole and also a crack above the forward pick guard locating bracket and some other pitting along the playing edge.
Modifications: The original tuners have been replaced with chrome Grover’s.
As mentioned this guitar is exceptionally playable and has a classic Gibson arch top acoustic tone and aside from the repair to the back is in great condition for its age.
