The Hudson Firefly, a superior Super-folk cutaway stage electro-acoustic, designed for the performing musician. The Firefly's features include a premium solid Cedar top, African flame Mahogany back and sides (laminate) and a fast modern profile neck.
The Firefly has a figured Rosewood fingerboard; edge bound in Flame Maple with discreet Abalone dot position markers. Flame African mahogany back and sides are beautifully complemented by edge binding in flame Maple. Hudson have also extended the use of flame Mahogany on the face of the headstock. This guitar even has a real bone top nut and bone saddle.
A Super-folk electro acoustic like no other!
Hand crafted with no compromise, the guitars carefully thought out body depth allows pure acoustic volume when un-plugged. The Super Folk has exceptional balance without the dominant mid range frequencies often found in some larger guitars. The Firefly is factory fitted with the acclaimed B-Band A3-T pre amp for stage or recording use. Balance with volume has been achieved by a combination of premium tone woods body shape and careful internal construction. A professional sound, at any volume. The B-Band A3T also has a useful built in guitar tuner.
And that’s just the beginning. We are confident that no other guitar offers such premium specifications combined with such a rich tone and stunning ornamentation. The heel of the Mahogany neck has a flame Maple cap.
The Super-folk body shape is designed to offer both balance and depth of tone that most manufactures fail to achieve. This is an ideal finger style performer, and it also works well when strummed with a pick. The cutaway allows for easy access to the higher frets.
