- SKU: 33096
- Manufactured by: Lowden
- Manufacturers Part No. : F32 L/H
George Lowden first developed these designs back in 1976 and although he added the medium sized ‘F' and concert sized ‘S' to the range since then, little has changed.
Over the years the 32 has become more sought after especially because of its full bodied and yet very clear defined tone. The sitka spruce top help to balance the rosewood's warm fullness. The O version is warm, full and clear, the F is the same but with a more focused projection making it ideal for flat-picking and fingerstyle. The S version has been a bit of a surprise in that it has a large body sound in a concert sized instrument!

About Lowden Guitars
The journey began in earnest in 1974 whenGeorge Lowdenbegan the design and building of the first Lowden guitars inhis workshop in Bangor County Down, Northern Ireland. From the very beginninghe was determined to develop unique designs and not just copy well known makes."
The Lowden guitar is the result of unique design, workmanship and assembly techniques along withtheir choice of woods.
Design: "Curvy, smooth soundbox shapes combined with carefully voiced internal bracing and soundbox profiles, and use of natural wood decorations withtheir unique hand rubbed satin finish all combine to make the Lowden guitar what it is today"
Workmanship: " Introducing unplanned for stress into any musical instrument deadens the tonal response.Lowden's assembly techniques involve the use of hand tools to improve the quality of all joints and enable the "Dolphin Profile" voicing of the soundboard bracing. This and much much more ensures that sustain, volume and balance are not hindered in any way. No short cuts are possible, just great workmanship and attention to detail!"
Wood:Lowden still hand splittheir bracing stock, re-grade soundboard wood and scour the world for the best (and often most decorative) tonewoods. These are the real ‘stars' oftheir guitars, and not man made.
It is this combination of many details which determines howLowden guitars sound, feel, and play. Today more than ever,Lowdenare constantly evaluatingtheir guitars and striving to further adjust the voicing, the feel and the playability. To make Lowden guitarsthey need a team of individuals with "talent for focus and an eye for detail" plus a passionate commitment to no compromise.
