The JCM 50/25has a50 watt el84 power section (it also has the 25-50 watt switching), drake transformers, heavy duty caps. jcm800 chassis, standard fare marshall ecc83/12ax7 preamp section except for the magical diode clipping overdrive boost circuit using a push/pull rythym clip and lead function. This is a very special ampand no other amp or marshall sounds like it, the variety of dry distortion this amp yields is astounding along with marvelous vintage tones galoreand enough contemporary grit for heavier stuff. it has more thanenough to satisfy, all the classic rock tones you have everheard.
